PLAYWORLD, HUDDERSFIELD

Our designers were put to the test on this project to create a 100+ capacity play frame in an area not much larger than a squash court with the added complication of height restricted by a crisscross of roof trusses. With clever layout aided by a detailed 3D mockup of the building, they squeezed a 4 level structure into the building and incorporated the metal trusses as play features within the structure. Evacuation routes were provided onto a mezzanine level to ensure the area met the necessary requirements of EN1176. The resulting layout includes a 4 story soft play gym with ball pool, 3 slides, crawl tubes and packed full of around the world adventure.
